Muslim leader says community frightened after gang pose outside Islamic prayer centre in Ku Klux Klan outfits

A group of people dressed in Ku Klux Klan outfits posed outside an Islamic prayer centre in Newtownards on Saturday night. Photographs on social media also appear to show the group walking around the town, and there are reports that they visited bars in the area. Police have been urged to investigate the incident as a hate crime and to examine CCTV in a bid to identify the people involved. Stephen spoke to Dr Raied Al-Wazzan of the Belfast Islamic Centre, who knows the Newtownards Muslim community very well, and Ulster Unionist MLA Mike Nesbitt.
