"The red line is blood red" - DUP leader insists there can't be any new regulatory checks down the Irish Sea.

The Nolan Show

Available for over a year

Blood red lines. Arlene Foster has made the DUP's position on any checks down the Irish Sea crystal clear to Thersea May. Yesterday there was speculation that Northern Ireland could remain more regulatory aligned with the EU as a Brexit backstop. But speaking on the Today programme Arlene Foster ruled that out completely. Radio 4's Mishal Husain asked Mrs Foster if that would lead to the DUP voting against Theresa May's Chequers deal. Stephen spoke to BBC NI Economics and Business Editor John Campbell, SDLP MLA Claire Hanna and DUP MLA Jim Wells.
