Disappearing red phone boxes

Good Morning Ulster

Available for over a year

The number of red phone boxes across Northern Ireland has declined to fewer than 200. Of those very few actually work. In spite of this, older people still have an emotional attachment to them. Our reporter Rick Faragher has been to the hamlet of Tynan in County Armagh where a red phone box takes pride of place. He spoke to Ray Auld a former British Telecom engineer who maintained it and many others.
