Over 11,000 people who were born in Sri Lanka have been adopted overseas. Thirty-eight-year-old Rebecca was adopted from Sri Lanka when she was three months old by a Sri Lankan couple living in London. One evening after school when she was 8-years-old, she found the adoption papers and since then she has been trying to find the truth about her birth. Rebecca featured in the BBC Two programme Searching For Mum. In it we see her emotional search which, once again, leads to nothing.
