Susie Dent has been the voice on Dictionary Corner on Channel 4's Countdown since 1992, working alongside the likes of Des Lynham, Jeff Stelling and the late Richard Whitely on a show that regularly attracts millions of viewers in it's mid afternoon slot. Well now Susie, who went to school in Ascot is embarking on her very first tour - and she's coming to Newbury. She shared some of her favourite words with BBC Radio Berkshire's Kirsten O'Brien. Susie Dent, Broadcaster and English Lexicographer and Etymologist: "I have loads, and they do kind of change according to the seasons and according to my mood. One of my all-time favourites is Halcyon, it's such a beautiful word. "Thunderplump, we could all do with that right now. "There are so many but I also like the world blurb... I don't know."
