Sir Tim Smit: Humans need to live more gently on the planet.

Good Morning Sunday

Available for over a year

PLASTIC was the word most used by the short story writers on BBC Radio 2's 500 Words competition this year. Children showed that they were aware of the issue of plastic pollution and they suggested imaginative ways to stop it happening and to increase recycling. Sir Tim Smit is the cofounder of the Eden Project in Cornwall and he shared his thoughts on the matter and his frustration that it has taken over thirty years for the general public to become aware of the scale of the environmental problem.
