Why vegan sausages might be a thing of the past

Radio 4 in Four

Available for over a year

How about a vegetarian peppered steak, or some vegan roast beef? Or even chicken-free chicken – sold as wild meaty chunks? All these labelled foods are currently available here, but they would now be banned in France, under a new law which says that manufacturers are not allowed to sell vegan or vegetarian food with words usually associated with meat. Anna Hill gets the reaction from Dominika Piasecka at The Vegan Society and Jilly Greed, a Devon beef farmer and a representative of 'Ladies in Beef'. First broadcast on Farming Today, 24 April 2018.
