A new playground in Bridgend, which was designed for disabled children, has been destroyed by a fire that Police believe was started deliberately. Emergency services were called to the play area at Heol Las in Cornelly on Saturday night. On Twitter, South Wales Police said it had been ruined by "mindless vandals". Reann Jenkins campaigned to have the park adapted for children with disabilities, such as her daughter.
