Maidenhead United: Lock delighted to secure National League status

Sport on BBC Radio Berkshire: Post-match

Available for over a year

Assistant Manager Sam Lock wants to push on after Maidenhead win to stay in the league. The 3-2 win over Dover means the Magpies will compete in their second National League season next year, despite being the only part-time club in the league. "I'm super proud of the boys, super proud of the team," Lock told BBC Radio Berkshire's Adam Whitty. "It's the first time at this level of football. "We want to finish 12th now, that is the priority." And Lock says there is a respect for Maidenhead from the rest of the league. "Teams don't like playing against us... we're different to other teams. "We deserve to be here, we've proved that, the table doesn't lie."
