Glasgow’s Fight Against Knife Crime

Good Morning Scotland

Available for over a year

As London’s police investigate a spate of stabbings and shootings that have seen them accused of losing control on the city’s streets, experts have pointed to Glasgow’s success in curbing violent youth crime during the mid-2000s as the way forward. Isabel Fraser spoke to Will Linden, acting-director of the Violence Reduction Unit and Eddie Gorman, a member of its mentor program, about how young people are pulled into violent behaviour and how the project attempts to get them on the right path.
