Starting a new job somewhere unfamiliar can be daunting enough but joining a small team at a remote and isolated site has its own challenges. Stretching across the Humber Estuary, Spurn is a long spit of land on the East Yorkshire coast that is frequently cut off by the tide and home to the RNLI's only full time lifeboat crew.
