Penny Coomes on achieving her Winter Olympic dreams

Sarah Walker

Available for over a year

Maidenhead's Penny Coomes and partner Nick Buckland placed 10th at last month's Winter Olympic games in South Korea. She told BBC Radio Berkshire's Sarah Walker more about her time in Pyeonchang, and the support she received from back in Berkshire. Penny Coomes: "A lot of my family still live there [Maidenhead] and whenever I come back to England that is home, I went to Cox Green school...and I'm sat here smiling when I think about it. "She took me on a learn to skate course at Slough, but she actually took me a week to early. "I got a few [messages] from all teachers and pupils from schools that I used to attend, and I don't think my Mum ever thought I would be here."
