On the French President's visit to the UK Theresa May and Emmanuel Macron grabbed a bite to eat at the Royal Oak on Paley Street - located of course in her Maidenhead constituency. BBC Radio Berkshire's Paul Coia was joined by Nick Parkinson, owner of the pub, who explained how the visit came about in the first place. Nick Parkinson, Owner of The Royal Oak: "You are told there's a visit from the Prime Minister, but you're not told how heavy the visit it, and you have to remember she's local as well so it isn't unusual for it to happen in our area. "I was hoping it was a Donald Trump visit. "There are negotiations that go on behind the scenes [about the menu] and obviously they have to choose. I submit dishes...and him being French it obviously has to be well cooked, and pink and stuff..."
