A man with terminal cancer has said his benefits were stopped because he decided he did not need a replacement mobility scooter. Peter Sandy, 76, in Aldershot claims the benefits office would not help. The Department of Work and Pensions said Mr Sandy did not respond to requests for information. It has since agreed to refund him after he contacted BBC Surrey.
