Hampshire zoo undertakes annual stock take

Lou Hannan

Available for over a year

Giraffes, slender-tailed meerkats and white rhinos are among the animals being counted by keepers at Hampshire's Marwell Zoo in their annual stock take. The census will show how many animals were born or died at the visitor attraction, or have been moved in or out within the last 12 months. So how do you count the stock at a wildlife park? BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley spent the day with animal collections manager Ross Brown.
