Jaap Stam: 'It's not about the style' of play

Reading FC boss Jaap Stam doesn't think Reading's style is causing their defeats. Stam insists the way Reading are playing is not contributing to their run of poor results. "It's not about the style," Stam told BBC Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "A lot of teams are playing in the same way we do. "[The other teams are playing] more effectively, yes, but you can't blame the players for that." And talking about Reading's latest defeat to bottom of the table Birmingham, Stam didn't agree that the performance was 'dreadful'. "I don't agree...maybe the supporters talk about it like that, but I don't agree. "I am in a certain way cross with my players, but I can't blame my players for not working."
