On Friday the 8th of December the Southbank Centre in London is hosting - Double Indemnity & Music from Film Noir. This is an evening curated and conducted by Robert Ziegler - the acclaimed American-born, UK-based conductor - and featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra and celebrates the music associated with film noir - with performances of music by Franz Waxman - his score for Sunset Boulevard, Leonard Rosenman from the film Rebel Without A Cause and Angelo Badalamenti's music from Twin Peaks. Plus, very excitingly Jonny Greenwood has teamed up with Robert Ziegler and orchestra for a performance of his score for the PTA film Inherent Vice - and you'll get a chance to hear some brand new music that's never been performed before. Ziegler was a key part in the recording of Radiohead's The King of Limbs. The evening will be presented by Mark Kermode - who will also play harmonica.
