Part of Surrey's greenbelt earmarked for housing

Breakfast on BBC Radio Surrey

Available for over a year

Plans for thousands of new houses on Surrey's greenbelt are a step closer. Guildford Borough Council has finalised its list of locations, including Wisley, Tongham and Ash. And Tandridge District Council has dropped land west of Edenbridge as a potential location for a new "garden village" of at least 5,000 homes. The move reduces its shortlist for new housing to three areas: Redhill Aerodrome, South Godstone and Blindley Heath.
