Former police officer says they use cannabis for medicinal purposes

Jason Mohammad

Available for over a year

Cannabis campaigner Jeff Ditchfield wants to open a private members cannabis club for medicinal use in Rhyl. He has also been prosecuted twice when he ran a similar cafe in the area, in 2007. Cannabis is currently a Class B drug; police can issue a warning or an on-the-spot fine of £90 if someone is found in possession of it. Those found guilty of supply and production can be sentenced for up to 14 years in prison. Sue from Cwmbran, a former police officer, has MS, and is a medicinal user of cannabis. She spoke to Jason on her way to the Senedd in Cardiff Bay for a cross party conference to discuss the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes.
