Ricciardo on working with Vettel and wanting Hamilton 'challenge'

F1: Chequered Flag

Available for over a year

Daniel Ricciardo says working with Sebastian Vettel was 'surprisingly good' despite the German having well publicised rows with other team mates in the past. The pair were together at Red Bull in 2014 and Ricciardo said Vettel was gracious in defeat. "I wasn't really sure how he would act, especially after beating him. In his defence, he didn't change and every time I beat him fair and square, he congratulated me." Ricciardo's current team mate at Red Bull is Max Verstappen, but the Australian is keen to work with British driver Lewis Hamilton in the future. "I would love to go against Lewis, I think that would be a good challenge. When you're someone's team mate you see a lot and you can learn how they work and you can get little insights. "I've had it with Seb [Vettel], he was great. I've had it with Max [Verstappen], he's obviously proven to be great so to see how it works with Lewis would be cool." This clip was taken from 5 live Sport on Thursday 28th September 2017.
