BBC Minute: On the war in Yemen - US/UK involvement

BBC Minute

Available for over a year

BBC Minute talks to BBC correspondent Nawal al-Maghafi about a conflict largely forgotten by the outside world: Yemen. The United Nations says the war which has raged since March 2015 has killed more than five thousand civilians, displaced more than three million people, and left more than seven million on the brink of famine. In this episode, Nawal discusses US and UK military support for the Saudi Arabian-led coalition attacking Houthi rebel targets in Yemen. Reports say one third of Saudi-led air strikes have hit civilian targets, and United Nations figures say they’ve killed 60% of the civilians who’ve died in the war.
