Speaking before the Italian Grand Prix, Hamilton paid tribute to the princess, who he called 'inspirational'. He said: "There is so much love for her in the world and she definitely went too soon. "There's never going to be anyone else like her but she's definitely inspired a lot of people around the world, including me." Hamilton was prompted to write the poem after seeing images of Diana on the 20th anniversary of her death, adding: "I've not thought about it too much but looking at photos, I thought it would be great to share with fans.
