Available for over a year

The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme launched over 60 years ago and helps skill young people in over 144 countries world-wide. Jon Watts discovered their work while at Reading Prison, and gained Bronze, Silver and Gold while still behind bars. BBC Radio Berkshire's Bill Buckley asked Jon when his love of food first started... "I went to work in a YMCA kitchen in London during the last couple of months of my sentence, and I used my skill to cook for disadvantaged people which was interesting. "Long story short I got a job in one of Jamie Oliver's restaurants in their early days. When I started I fell in love with the food and all of the fresh ingredients...the herbs and all the funky vegetables. "I was working up and down the country, long long hours but I loved it - and I even took on the catering for his TV show."
