Is Sam Simmons really just reading out the phone book?

Shaun Keaveny

Available for over a year

Comedian Sam Simmons joins Shaun to chat about his Edinburgh Fringe show - Sam Simmons: A-K is on at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe at Assembly George Square Studios from 11-27th August. In this latest offering, Sam challenges a reviewer's claim that he could make reading a phonebook funny. Sam is one of the most daring and unconventional stand-up comedians performing in the UK and Australia today. An Edinburgh Fringe favourite, Sam has been playing the festival since 2006 which saw him win the Fosters Edinburgh Best Show Comedy Award nominations for Meanwhile (2011) and Sam Simmons: Death of a Sails-Man (2014) and culminated with the Fosters Edinburgh Best Show Comedy Award for Sam Simmons: Spaghetti for Breakfast in 2015. After performing Sam Simmons: Not a People Person at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, Sam landed his own BBC Radio 4 series working under the same title and he chats with Shaun about the new show and ANOTHER trip to Edinburgh.
