Olly champions Anne Carson’s novel Autobiography of Red for Front Row’s Queer Icons series. Autobiography of Red is a verse novel, based loosely on the Greek myth of Geryon, a winged monster with six hands and feet. Anne Carson is a Canadian author and Classicist. Extracts are read by Simon Russell Beale. Olly Alexander is the lead singer of the band Years and Years, whose debut album Communion was one of the fastest-selling albums of 2015. Olly is a prominent spokesperson on LGBTQ issues and his BBC documentary Olly Alexander: Growing Up Gay is available to watch on BBC iPlayer. Queer Icons is Front Row’s celebration of LGBTQ culture.
