Arcade fire's new album 'Everything Now' is out later this month - their first since Reflektor. It was produced by Arcade Fire, Thomas Bangalter from Daft Punk and Steve Mackey from Pulp with co-production by their longtime collaborator Markus Dravs - and recorded in New Orleans, Montreal and Paris. The album sees the band playing with the idea of them being taken over by a sinister global media corporation - called ‘Everything Now' it’s all very conceptual and very Arcade Fire. Their motto is Infinite Content - and judging by some of the information that the 'company' has been distributing, this seems to be a satire on this idea that all the information and entertainment you could ever need is available all the time - whether you want it or not. - something that's very relevant to the music world - with streaming neatly whole of recorded music is at your fingertips. Matt Everitt spoke to Win Butler and Richard Reed Parry from the band about the new album, the live shows and who the ‘Everything Now Corporation' really are…
