Italy bails out two troubled banks

The Italian government is bailing out two banks in the Venito region at an intial cost of 5.2bn euros. We hear more about the deal from a former Chief Economist of the Treasury in Rome, Lorenzo Codogno. The Japanese airbag manufacturer Takata has finally filed for bankruptcy. Exploding airbags have been linked to at least 16 deaths which has led to about a hundred million cars and trucks being recalled. Kevin Dean, a lawyer representing clients seeking compensation doesn't think this will stop the legal process. We celebrate the ATM which is fifty years old this week.
