Over to You

Available for over a year

Recently the BBC World Service reported on the imprisonment of Turkish MP, Enis Berberoğlu, who was sentenced to 25 years in jail for allegedly leaking information to the press. What it didn’t report on is the 24 day march by the opposition party which is currently underway from Ankara to Istanbul in protest. Listener, Nuri Comez from Istanbul in Turkey is asking why. Also, Tubabo Nababu from The Gambia is a big admirer of the work of correspondent Alan Johnston, who has reported from the likes of Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and the Gaza Strip. This week he is getting the chance to put him in the hot seat as he asks him three questions in three minutes.
