Global Oil Prices Continue to Slide

World Business Report

Available for over a year

Crude oil has lost a fifth of its value in just the past four months. Russ Mould at the investment company A J Bell tells us why, and we hear about the impact it is having on oil producing nations, from BBC reporters Martin Patience in Lagos, Nigeria, and Lerato Mbele in Luanda, Angola. Also in the programme, the mobile messaging service WhatsApp is becoming an increasingly important source of news worldwide, according to a survey of more than 70,000 people globally. We find out about its impact in Turkey from Esra Dogramaci of the German broadcaster Deutsche Welle. Plus we hear how Hollywood actor George Clooney stands to make more than $300m from selling a tequila company he co-founded to the British drinks giant Diageo. (Picture: An oil production facility.
