Sport on BBC Radio Berkshire: Post-match

Available for over a year

The Royals Chairman Madejski is 'delighted' the takeover of the club is finally complete. Chinese brother and sister Dai Yongge and Dai Xiu Li have become the majority shareholders in Reading, news which was confirmed during the side's 2-1 aggregate play-off semi-final win on Tuesday. "Anybody with deep pockets that gets involved with Reading Football Club makes my day," Madejski told BBC Radio Berkshire's Tim Dellor. "Football is not for the faint-hearted. "With the Chinese consortium, crossed with a Thai consortium, the future looks bright for Reading. And Madejski is pleased to have seen the club go from strength to strength since his spell as owner. "We started this thing, we built this beautiful stadium. "The hearts and minds of all the beautiful people of Reading and beyond...it's all about camaraderie, it's about fellowship, it's about all the sort of wonderful things about community. "And now the future looks assured."
