'Trump Was Warned About Flynn'

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

The former Acting Attorney General Sally Yates has appeared in front of the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee looking in to links between Moscow and the Trump team. She said that President Trump was warned about appointing General Flynn as National Security Adviser because of the risk of him being blackmailed by the Russians. So how damaging is all this for the Trump administration? We ask Daniel Lippman of Politico Playbook. In South Korea, voters have begun voting to decide who will be the next resident of the Blue House in Seoul. The elections are being held to decide who will replace President Park Guen Hye who was impeached in December. The recent scandal ensnaring the president, and big business leaders in South Korea has shone a spotlight on corruption in Asia's fourth largest economy, as the BBC's Karishma Vaswani reports. The social media giant Facebook has published full page advertisements in some UK newspapers today to raise awareness about 'fake news'. The ad campaign comes as a BBC investigation has found Facebook played a decisive role in both the US election and Britain's EU referendum last year. Darragh MacIntyre has been investigating this for the BBC's Panorama programme. All this and more discussed by our two guests on opposite sides of the Pacific: Larry Smith, Professor of Economics, University of Waterloo, in Guelph in Canada. And Simon Littlewood, President of AC Growth Delivered, in Singapore.
