Reading FC: Wigan need to win to survive

Weekend Kick-Off

Available for over a year

BBC Radio Manchester summariser Paul Rowley explains Wigan need a minor miracle. Wigan have to win both their next two games, starting with Wigan on Saturday, to have any hope of Championship survival. "They require a mathematical miracle," Rowley told BBC Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "It looks near impossible to survive in the Championship despite their history of great escapes. "It's do or die, all or nothing, win or bust." And Rowley admits that the statistics this season don't look good for Wigan heading into Saturday's game. "It's been a very odd season, they've had three managers, they've only won four times at home, they are the second lowest goalscorers in the division. "They've used forty-one players, it's been a disaster."
