Daughter wants to meet her mother's killers

Breakfast on BBC Radio Surrey

Available for over a year

Nearly 30 years after a woman in Surrey was strangled, her daughter wants to meet the couple who killed her. Michael Patrick Doherty and Susan McGregor were both 27 when they received life sentences in 1993 for the murder of Sheila Taylor from Ashtead. Her body was found in their squat in Kilburn, north London in 1989. For three years her death was thought to be from natural causes. But the couple who lived there were arrested following a tip-off about a forged benefits form and her body was exhumed. Now Sheila's daughter Sue has told BBC Surrey she wants to meet them to find out more about why they did it and why her mother was there.
