Reading FC: Stam says Wigan will not be a formality

Weekend Kick-Off

Available for over a year

The Royals boss says that despite their good home form this season, Wigan will be tricky. The Latics need to win their last two games, and hope other teams lose theirs to have any chance of staying in the Championship. "Everybody is speaking about it that when we play at home we can win the game," Stam told BBC Radio Berkshire's Jack Winstanley. "It's not like that." "We haven't got the team, we're not there yet where we can say 'right, against these teams, we are going to be easily winning'." And Stam wants to use the experience against Rotherham in their last home game to prepare for the Wigan test. "Sometimes it's better to play the top teams than the lower teams in the league with all due respect. "They are not the easiest of games."
