Craftography map created in aid of Solent Mind charity

Julian Clegg

Available for over a year

Members of the Southampton based Ordnance Survey craft club have been working on a unique mapping project. They have created a two meter tall 3D map, which represents the national grid of the United Kingdom. Each of the 91 crafted panels shows something that's indicative of the region, from Shetland lace knitting to spaghetti junction and Stonehenge. Two areas of the BBC Radio Solent region are clearly represented. BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley has been to see the craftography map. Kate Blake is the fundraising manager for Solent Mind.
