Purple Day - Epilepsy Awareness 26th March

It wasn't something she took that seriously until she discovered it might kill her and quite suddenly. 28-year-old Laura Marsden from Swindon knows the perils of epilepsy and particularly Sudden Unexpected Death in epilepsy. She was diagnosed with epilepsy aged 19, and says that despite currently holding a licence, her independence has been impacted upon, having had her driving licence taken away 3 times as a result of the condition. Laura says it can be quite traumatic for those around her when she has a seizure. Purple Day is a grassroots effort dedicated to increasing awareness of epilepsy worldwide.
