UFC president Dana White would pay Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor $25million (£20.5m) each to fight, LA Times boxing and UFC reporter Lance Pugmire has told 5 live. Mayweather continues to taunt McGregor, and even went as far as saying he would come out of retirement to fight the UFC lightweight champion. When asked about the likelihood of the bout happening, Pugmire said: “Mayweather clearly believes he is the A side and rightfully so, I believe he is 49 and 0 and has dominated so many great opponents that he has fought throughout his career, so he’s going to want more money than that, but the fact that Floyd has come out today and said I’m un-retiring to fight Conor McGregor is something that should move the needle.” When asked who would win, he said: “Floyd Mayweather feels as if no pro boxer can touch him so how can this UFC fighter, he may be a good striker, but how is he going to land any punches on this great defensive wizard?” This clip was taken from 5live Breakfast on Sunday 12th March 2017.
