Treason Charges Brought in Russia

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

Treason charges have been brought in Russia against senior intelligence officials and a hacking expert, so how strong are the links between cyber security companies and state authorities? We ask Ben Buchanan, a cyber security expert at Harvard University. As Volkswagen settles for some of the compensation claimed because of faked emissions tests, how much health damage is caused by diesel pollution? The BBC's Alex Ritson reports. Watani - My Homeland has been nominated for an Oscar. It's an account of the experiences of a small Syrian family from Aleppo, surviving in the rubble of that shattered city, losing their father to IS and relocating to Germany. We hear from the director, Marcel Mettelsiefen. A machine called Libratus has learned how to play poker; that very human art of bluffing, of deceiving someone, and then thrashed players in a card game. We get the view of Anthony McShane, a professional poker player currently based in New York. And we're joined throughout the programme by two guests on opposite sides of the Pacific - Peter Morici, Professor of International Business at the University of Maryland, who's in Washington, and Grace Sai, Co-founder and boss of Impact Hub, in Singapore. And we cross over to Seoul in South Korea to get the latest Asian news from our correspondent, Steve Evans.
