Arsenal new-boy Bramall 'could have a Vardy impact'

5 Live In Short

Available for over a year

Arsenal's new signing Cohen Bramall could have the same impact on the Premier League as Jamie Vardy, according to the man who signed him last summer. The Hednesford Town left-back is to make the leap to the Premier League after Arsenal agreed a £40,000 fee with the non-league side. Liam McDonald, who signed Bramall for Hednesford but now manages Solihull Moors, believes the 20-year-old can follow in the footsteps of Leicester striker Vardy, who won the Premier League title last season to cap a rapid rise from non-league football. "He's a natural athlete and he's got a great opportunity to develop that now," McDonald told Mark Chapman on 5 live Sport. "He'll take it in his stride. I'm very positive he'll have a similar impact to Jamie Vardy." This clip is from 5 live Sport on Thursday 5 January 2017.
