Goverment pledges to build more affordable homes

Phil Kennedy

Available for over a year

A company providing social housing in Reading give their reaction to the Autumn Statement. Jonathan Lazell, Stonewater: "It's really interesting, I think there's a growing awareness of the housing crisis across the country. "One of the things that they've talked about is this investment not only in the infrastructure to help deliver new homes, but also to fund 40,000 new affordable homes. "Housing associations build roughly one in every three new homes last year. "It's something of a challenge from the Government...now we've made the money available you've got to deliver."
