Available for over a year

November 18th 2016 is the 100th anniversary of the end of the Battle of the Somme. There are 300,000 war graves and memorials here in the UK. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is asking the public in the British Isles to re-connect with the war dead buried in their own communities. It's part of the 'Living Memory' project, designed to remember the "forgotten front". Two Hampshire schools have been researching the lives of some of the soldiers that died locally following the battle. A commemoration event has taken place at the Royal Victoria Country Park in Netley. BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley was there.
