India Bank Notes Chaos

Big Boss Interview

Available for over a year

There has been chaos outside banks in India, after prime minister Narendra Modi made the surprise announcement this week that the government was cancelling high denomination currency notes in a bid to crack down on tax dodging. The BBC's Rahul Tandon reports on developments in Kolkata. How will President Trump separate himself from Donald Trump the businessman? He controls more than 500 companies, which will surely bring countless conflicts of interest when he assumes the job in January. Kenneth Gross, from legal firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom explains the rules surrounding presidents and business. The BBC's North America Editor, Jon Sopel, gives us his reflections on the most extraordinary campaign in US political history. And we ask when it's too soon to start making jokes about sensitive events after a sunglasses brand caused upset in Mexico with an ill-timed tweet just hours after Mr Trump's victory. Throughout the programme Roger Hearing is joined by Alexis Goldstein, activist and financial reform advocate in Washington, and also David Moser, academic director at the CET Chinese Studies programme at Beijing Capital Normal University.
