Turkey's Latest Crackdown on the Opposition Spurs Investor Concern

Leading politicians from the Pro-Kurdish opposition party in Turkey have been arrested for refusing to answer prosecutors' questions about their alleged links to the Kurdish rebel group, the PKK -- which they deny. Business Matters hears from Amberin Zaman of the Wilson Centre in Washington and formerly the Economist's correspondent in Istanbul about how news such as this has resulted in businesses withdrawing from the country at a very fast pace. The BBC's Michael Kaloki reports from an area in Kenya worst affected by drought. More than 1.3 million people are facing starvation, prompting the government to announce $49.2 million in emergency spending, some of it to purchase livestock from pastoralist communities in the affected areas.
