Violent Protests in South Africa Over Student Fees
World Business ReportAvailable for over a year
Police have clashed with protesters in South Africa over a proposed 8% student tuition fee hike. We find out more from Ramafala Ramatshosa of the Higher Education Transformation Network, and Alan Mukoki from South Africa's Chambers of Commerce. Also in the programme, as President Obama holds a summit in New York on the global migration crisis, we have a report from the BBC's Joe Miller in Texas on how economic migrants are becoming a growing political force. Sweden is introducing a tax cut to encourage Swedes to repair their consumer goods. Per Bolund is the minister behind the move, and tells us how it will work. And Walter Stahel from the Product Life Institute in Sweden explains why many of us don't repair things when they go wrong. Plus the BBC's Aaron Heslehurst reports from the Southampton Boat Show on the health of the global boating industry, itself worth around $120bn.
