Motson: I don't see Rooney starting at Russia 2018

John Motson doesn't believe Wayne Rooney will start or captain England at the 2018 World Cup. Rooney has come under fire from fans and pundits following his performance against Slovakia in England's World Cup qualifier this week. And Motson believes Rooney won't be in the team for the tournament in two years time. "I don't necessarily see him in the team or being the captain if and when we get to Russia," he told Kelly Cates on 5 live Sport.
