Career-ending injury 'changed me for the better' - Boucher

Stumped

Available for over a year

South African Mark Boucher - who holds the record for the most Test dismissals by a wicket-keeper - had his playing career cut-short after suffering an eye injury. Boucher was struck in the eye by a bail and as a result lost the lens, the iris and the pupil of his left eye. However, he told the BBC's Austin Halewood about his suggestions for the safety of other wicket-keepers in the game and claimed that the injury changed him "for the better". Picture: Mark Boucher.
