Fully accessible changing room opens at Portsmouth Port

Lou Hannan

Available for over a year

Sarah Brisdion from Brockenhurst is campaigning to improve disabled changing facilities in public buildings. Sarah is from Brockenhurst and is mother to 5 year old Hadley who has Cerebral Palsy and is a wheel chair user. He requires a lot of assistance to what many other 5 years olds are able to do for themselves, including using public toilets. Sarah has been spearheading a campaign for better facilities in more public venues. In 2015 the government recently decided not to force new buildings to include such advanced equipment as standard. BBC Radio Solent's Neil Sackley has spent the afternoon with Sarah and Hadley at Portsmouth International Port where a new changing facility has just opened.
