The mysterious person who comes to David’s rescue and saves his life is a German airman who’s been hiding out on the moor for over a week. He’s not alone - but his fellow German airman is injured and weak, and they ask the boys to bring them food and blankets. David is reluctant to help an enemy, but Tucky convinces him that he owes the Germans a favour as one of them has saved his life. Will the boys help the Germans or will they give them away?
