Episode 4 - Home alone

On the night when the boys were home alone and the Germans were bombing Plymouth, David and Tucky are convinced they saw a German plane crash miles out on the moor behind the farm. However, despite a search party of army, the police and the Home Guard, no trace of a German plane is found on the moor. David and Tucky are the laughing stock of the village and everyone thinks they made it all up to get a day off school. The boys decide to conduct their own search of the moor but as they’re returning home, dejected and disheartened having found nothing, David slips, falls into a river and is pulled under by the current. Luckily, a mysterious person comes to his rescue.
