Attacks at Ataturk Airport

Jim Davis and Jo Hayward

Available for over a year

Officials say three suicide bombers were behind the terroist attacks at the Ataturk Airport yesterday evening. The attackers arrived by taxi, opened fire with automatic weapons, and then blew themselves up at a security checkpoint at the entrance to the terminal building. Bharat Varia is a commercial airline pilot from Leicester, who's currently based in Istanbul and flies out of Ataturk Airport. He wasn't on duty yesterday during the attacks. But he lives very close to the airport and saw and heard much of the chaos erupt. Here's what he told Jim Davis this morning.
